Ismael Castillo Herrera: Ismael Castillo has worked with blueEnergy since it first established itself in Bluefields, Nicaragua, in May 2004. Ismael is an expert welder and mechanic and is a the designated full-time liaison between IPCC-INATEC and blueEnergy. He is the associate director of blueEnergy in Nicaragua. |

Ronald Quintana Terán: Ronald is the plant foreman for blueEnergy. In addition to being an electronics engineer, he started put his hands on electronics since he was 13 and has always worked as an independent service provider in this area. He also had 5 years experience in industrial machinery moving in the US. Ronald was born in Bluefields and grew up in Managua. He has been living abroad for 13 years, 5 of which in the US. Father of three children he wishes the best for them. His oldest girl wants to become a doctor as her grandfather was. About blueEnergy: “blueEnergy is working in an area that still needs to develop a lot in order to answer the need of clean sources of energy. We need to maintain our environment clean for future generations. I have met the most open minded persons in the blueEnergy volunteers, able to adapt to such a different culture from theirs.” |

Felix Alberto Rios Velasquez: Felix is a wood technician for blueEnergy. Prior to blueEnergy he had eight years of experience in carpentry. Felix was born in Managua, spent five years in Bluefields as a kid and returned there 5 years ago. He is growing two children. About blueEnergy: "blueEnergy is an institution bringing benefits to a lot of people and to the whole country in the areas of electricity and industry. Giselle Johana Morales Mitchell: Johana joined blueEnergy in November of 2007 and is the executive assistant to Guillaume Craig, director of blueEnergy in Nicaragua. |

Octavio Baltazar Gomez Castillo: Octavio is a metal work technician for blueEnergy and does welding, soldering and cutting work for turbine construction. Prior to blueEnergy he was an auto-mechanic. Octavio has lived in Bluefields, Nicaragua since he was 8 years old. He has two sons ages 3 years and 3 months and hopes that his children will be able to attend university and find a career. Octavio supports 6 people with his blueEnergy salary. About blueEnergy: "blueEnergy helps the communities by bringing a new fuel for light. blueEnergy also helps the environment by producing energy without contaminating the environment." |

Darwens Danni Wilson Federicks: Danni is a wood and fiberglass technician for blueEnergy. Prior to blueEnergy he worked at a wood processing company. Danni was born in Bluefields, Nicaragua and lived in Rama and Corn Island before returning to Bluefields 3 years ago. He has one 2 year old daughter who he hopes will have the opportunity to get a good education and have an easier life than he did. Danni supports 4 people with his blueEnergy salary. About blueEnergy: "It's a pretty good project because when we go make an installation we help people that need energy like the young people with education and also the adults that want adult school in the night. Like Bob Marley said education is the key." |

Gerson David Arteaga Marenco: Gerson is a turbine construction technician for blueEnergy and focuses on soldering, resin work and turbine assembly. Prior to blueEnergy he worked in house construction and cement work. Gerson grew up in Bluefields, Nicaragua. He supports 3 people with his blueEnergy salary. Prior to blueEnergy he worked in a wood processing company. Gilberto grew up in Leon, Nicaragua and has lived in Bluefields, Nicaragua for 13 years. He has a 12 year old son also named Gilberto who he hopes will be able to become a professional in his field of choice. Gilberto supports 5 people with his blueEnergy salary. Lots of times the electric current can´t reach the communities far from town and we can bring them TV and radio." |

Roger Antonio Sediles Salazar: Roger is a metal work technician for blueEnergy and does welding, soldering and cutting work for turbine construction. Prior to blueEnergy he was an auto-mechanic. Roger grew up in Leon, Nicaragua and has lived in Bluefields, Nicaragua for 17 years. He has five children who range in age from 32 to 22 and has 10 grandchildren. Roger supports 3 people with his blueEnergy salary. About blueEnergy: "I'm not working for blueEnergy for the money. I could find better pay elsewhere or I could stay at home. I work for blueEnergy because I feel that by working here I am helping the community and the country. Denver Hamilton Terry: Denver is a turbine construction technician for blueEnergy and focuses on blade assembly, welding and tower work. Prior to blueEnergy he worked on a fishing boat. Denver grew up in Bluefields, Nicaragua. He has one 7 month old son also named Denver who he hopes has the opportunity to study. Denver supports 4 people with his blueEnergy salary. About blueEnergy: "It's very important for children to have light at home and it is great that people from America and France come and bring it to Nicaragua. I like working for blueEnergy and hope to keep working for blueEnergy for a long time. I am gaining a lot of experience working here." |

Agripina Oporta Flores: Pina is the caretaker of blueEnergy's heart and soul, its employees and volunteers. She maintains the blueEnergy house and office and cooks for the blueEnergy crew. Pina grew up in Bluefields, Nicaragua. She has two sons ages 12 and 7 years and hopes to give them a better future. Pina supports 4 people with her blueEnergy salary. About blueEnergy: "Poverty brings more poverty and blueEnergy is helping people get out of that. Lots of people need this help because so many don't have the capacity for lights like those who live in cities." |

Ilormi Vivian Garcia Sambola: Illormi assists Pina in looking after blueEnergy's staff, office and house. This is her very first job. Illorme grew up in Orinoco, which is north of Pearl Lagoon in Nicaragua. She has lived in Bluefields for 2 years. Illormi doesn't have any children, but helps her mother and 6 sisters back home with her blueEnergy salary. About blueEnergy: "It's a big help for people who don't have lights. We support them and in the future they can know more about light systems and the communities have the possibility to progress." |
