Colette Grinevald is a linguistics professor at the Université Lyon2, in Lyon, France, and is a researcher of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Laboratoire Dynamique du Language Lyon2, in Lyon, France. She specializes in the grammatical description of Amerindian languages and fieldwork for the description of endangered languages. Colette has done extensive fieldwork in Central America, and is well known for her work on Rama, a very endangered Chibchan language of Nicaragua. Colette has published dozens of articles in her areas of specialization and lectures on these topics throughout the world.
