From Rama Cay: Martha Thomas, Ventura Daniels, Jeffrey McCrea and Lorenzo Martínez.

From Punta de Aguila: Pedro McCrea and Pedrito McCrea.

Ventura uses a drawknife to carve a blade.

Pedro admires his handiwork.

Henry and Ain position copper coils together for the stator.

Ventura and Stacey work together to solder copper coils together for the stator.

The completed 5-phase, 24 volt alternator.

The group takes a break to pose for a picture with the completed alternator.

Stacey prepares guy wires for the 60 ft. tower.

Jeffrey covers a "dead-man" (guy wire anchor) with an anti-rust paint.

Alexis cuts a 20 ft. section of 4 in. diameter tower pipe.

Ismael creates the rebar structure for the concrete tower foundation.

A group checks the connection between the tower base and the rebar foundation.

Ventura and Martha start digging one of the four guy wire anchor holes.

Jeffrey (above) and Pedrito dig towards the desired 5 ft. depth for the guy wire anchors.

The rebar foundation and tower base are positioned.

Ismael adjusts the tower base on the newly cast foundation.

A guy wire anchor is lowered into a hole.

An achor is positioned.

Mathias (right) and Jesús fill an anchor hole and compact the soil.

The three 20 ft. tower sections are brought to the hill.

An old diesel engine serves as the anchor for a make-shift pully used for raising and lowering the tower. The rope raps around the pully and then is attached to the truck.

The complete tower is raised without the turbine on a test run.

The tower is lowered for turbine assembly. Note the truck and the pully on the left hand side of the picture.

Henry attaches the rotor to the alternator. The turbine is ready.

The turbine spins immediately after being raised.

The "Green Machine".

Out of focus.

A close-up.

Mathias demonstrates how to test and maintain a battery using the right safety equipment.

Pedrito looks over the turbine manual.

Ismael and former INATEC director Dionisio Pavón.
